Class Exercise 22: Entity Relationship Diagram Definitions

 An Entity Relationship (ER) Diagram is a type of flowchart that demonstrates how "entities" within a system, such as people, things, or concepts, interact with one another. In the domains of software engineering, business information systems, education, and research, ER Diagrams are most commonly used to design or debug relational databases. They utilise a specified collection of symbols such as rectangles, diamonds, ovals, and connecting lines to illustrate the interconnectedness of entities, relationships, and their properties (Lucidchart, 2022).
