Definition of E-Commerce:

E-Commerce or Electronic Commerce in full, is the buying and selling of goods and services in return of online transactions or data (Gregersen, 2019).   

Definition of E-Commerce Websites:

E-Commerce websites is where individuals and companies sell or buy goods or services to each other on the internet. An E-commerce website accepts orders and payments from customers throughout online transactions rather than physical ones (E-commerce Websites: What They Are and How to Build One | Mailchimp, 2021).

Essential E-Commerce Features:

A successful business does not only depend on the quality of its products. A well-managed website that is customer friendly can be a large factor for the success of the business (72 Must-Have Ecommerce Website Features [Infographic] | WebAlive, 2019).
Some essential features that E-commerce websites must have: 

  • Business logo
  • User-friendly navigation
  • Wishlist
  • Customer login
  • Store finder
  • Search bar
